VINTAGE CARS: THE MILANO-SANREMO CUP STARTS FROM MONZA

On Thursday, April 10, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza will once again host the Historical Re-enactment of the Coppa Milano-Sanremo, now in its 16th edition. At the start will be 90 crews tackling over a thousand kilometers of competition, more than one hundred special stages, crossing 150 municipalities in a mix of mountain and maritime landscapes and highly evocative places between Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria. The first of these places is represented by the Temple of Speed.

The event, which is sponsored and supported by Automobile Club Milano, is the second leg of the calendar of the Italian Major Events Championship, organized by ACI Sport.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza will be the absolute protagonist of the first day, thanks to the now traditional technical and sports scrutineering and more special tests and on-circuit activities than in the past.

Participants will be allowed free laps on the 5,793-meter Stradale with 30-minute slots reserved for both historic and modern cars, starting at 9:30 a.m. Historic and modern cars, therefore, will alternate every half hour.

The start of the race is set for 3:30 p.m. and the time trials, eleven of them, will be held on the track, on the High Speed Ring and on the internal roads at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
