Two events at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza on the weekend of 9 and 10 October 2021: Time Attack Italy and Santiago in pink Cycling Marathon.
The Time Attack Italia cars return to Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday 10 October for the penultimate round of the championship. The Temple of Speed will welcome one hundred and thirty entries in the Extreme, Pro, Street and Limited categories, along with the GT3isti Challenge series . The public can access the circuit for free, paying only for the internal parking. Sunday ‘s event will start at 9 in the morning and will end at 18.30 with the last round of the track and the awarding of the winners.
The cars in the challenge of Time Attack Italy
The now proven The Time Attack Italia formula includes a double challenge that will assign points valid for the championship: the first will consider the best time obtained by each driver during the first two rounds at his disposal, thus composing the order of entry to the track of the Superlap fast that will determine the competition ranking-2 . On the other hand, three rounds will be available to competitors in the Limited classes , with a ranking resulting from the sum of the two best times.
The overall classification sees the two Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X of Serse Zeli and Olivia Merlini and the Lotus Exige V6 Cup R driven by Andrea Gazzetti compete for the top.
Also in the challenge for the first places, in the three Extreme classes, among the turbocharged and aspirated cars, the BMW Z4 GT3 , Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo and Ferrari 458 Challenge will take to the track.
The five Pro categories include Honda Civic , Citroen Saxo , Mini Cooper r35 , Fiat Coupé , Mazda MX5 , Ginetta G55 , Clio RS Turbo , BMW M3 , Peugeot 207 RC and Seat Ibiza among those who aspire to victory in the class.
The parterre is completed by the Street classes of road cars with semi-slick tires such as BMW M2 , Mitsubishi Lancer Evo , Chevrolet Corvette , and Limited with road cars such as Volkswagen Golf , Audi TT , Mazda MX5 , Fiat 500 Abarth , Toyota Yaris GR and Alfa Romeo 4C .
The public will be able to enter the Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday to follow the challenges on the track. Admission is free upon online seat reservation via the website www.monzanet.it . The internal parking is subject to charges at a cost of 15 euros for each car and 5 euros for each motorbike . Fans will be able to follow the track activities from the right side grandstand overlooking the starting straight. The disabled will have a dedicated area of easy access throughout the day in the building hospitality above the pitlane. The catering services will be open, the circuit shopping village where it is possible to buy the official merchandising of the Temple of Speed and the Monza Circuit Karting , the fun kart track suitable for adults and children inside the Alboreto curve .

Santiago in pink Cycling Marathon – First Sauber trophy
On Saturday from 8 pm to 11 pm, the “ Santiago in rosa Cycling Marathon – first Sauber Trophy ” organized by the Cancro Primo Help association will make its debut on the track of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The event, now in its eleventh edition, is reserved for the amateur categories of the Italian Cycling Federation with women’s, men’s and mixed teams. About 160 cyclists will challenge the Temple of Speed in a three-hour race, divided into 40 teams. The three teams in each category who have covered the most kilometers when time runs out will be awarded. The event, with the patronage of the Municipality of Monza and the patronage of the Lombardy Region, will see the extraordinary participation of the hosts Stefania Andriola and Justine Mattera and the athletes Alessandra Fior and Sabrina Schillaci. The contributions raised by the sponsors will support the Cancer Wigs First Aid Project which has made it possible to donate a wig to around 20,000 women with cancer free of charge. (A.D)
