ACI HISTORIC RACING WEEKEND: TWO PORSCHES ON POLE IN THE ITALIAN SPEED CHAMPIONSHIP ON AUTOSTORICHE CIRCUIT

Second day of ACI Historic Racing Weekend at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza with qualifying for the Italian Historic Car Circuit Speed Championship (CIVCA) and the first races of the other categories enriching the competition program.

In the official practice of the first division of the Tricolore CIVCA pole position for the Swiss Walo Bertschinger and our Dario Tosolini (Porsche Carrera 3000 RSR) with a time of 2’11″581, at an average speed of 158.494 km/h; in the second one Massimo Ronconi and Giovanni Gulinelli (Porsche 935, Club 91 Squadra Corse) had the fastest time, stopping the clock in 1’52″269, at an average speed of 185.757 km/h.

In the Mitjet Italia Racing Series, successes for Frenchman Roman Damiani (Gt Drive Racing Team) in race 1 and Jody Lambrughi (DC Racing) in the second race. Switzerland’s Sandro Zeller (F3 Dallara F312, Jo Zeller Racing), on the other hand, came out on top in the first race of theTopJet F2000 Italian Trophy. Two other Helvetians, Luciano Arnold (Brabham BT36-Cosworth, S.H.R.T. team) and Amanda Hennessy (Argo JM19, Proto) took the top step of the podium in the two races of the Berghe von Trips and the first race of the Colmore NRCC/V8/Proto, respectively. German Dirk Torwesten (Porsche 935 TR), on the other hand, won race 1 in the Colmore YTCC.

And tomorrow, Sunday, April 13, it will be the Colmore YTCC that will open the day with the second race on its program starting at 8:30 am. Eight more races will follow. Admission is free and parking lots 8 and 9 are available for a fee (on site): 5 euros for motorcycles, 15 for cars, 30 for minibuses and 50 for buses.

There will be two entrances for the public: gate A (Vedano al Lambro) and gate B (Santa Maria alle Selve). A number of food trucks will be present at the Museum area, where games for children will also be available. The Autodrome restaurant will also be open. People with disabilities will have access to Room 112 of the Building Hospitality, reserved for them, and will be able to use the dedicated parking area located in front of the Monza Circuit Shop, near the Fangio Statue.

The former museum area hosts an exhibition with some 15 cars that took part in the Cadet Trophy, whose 60th anniversary it is, and-at the characteristic tramway-an Autostoriche rally organized by Monza Auto and Moto Storiche-Amici dell’Autodromo.
