“All over the world, when one thinks of Formula 1, one cannot fail to remember the great contribution that Italy has given to this sport, and the first 100 years of the Monza circuit are an important testimony of this. Monza is special, Monza is home to Formula 1, it has always written among the most important pages of this sport that for 71 years has given emotions, passion and a smile. We are preparing to enter a new era for F1, with new regulations and new cars that will create even more exciting races and we are thrilled to have Italy once again a great protagonist in the official calendar of 2022 with two stops at Imola and Monza.”, Stefano Domenicali , CEO of Formula One Group, intervenes.
From Juan Manuel Fangio and Alberto Ascari to Michael Schumacher, from Enzo Ferrari, Niki Lauda and Ayrton Senna, to Lewis Hamilton, there is the public, the mechanics, the people, in one hundred years in Monza the track has changed, the technology , the rules, but the emotions are unchanged. The president of the Autodrome Giuseppe Radaelli and the president of ACI Angelo Sticchi Damiani recalled the stories and passions of the men of motorsport, the great protagonists of these hundred years in Monza, presenting the visual identity of the centenary, in a dialogue with Stefano Domenicali aimed at the future of Italian motorsport and the upcoming challenges of Monza, starting with the reduction of the environmental impact of the centenary track.
“It is the Temple of Speed, the track that is the real protagonist of the centenary logo, taking on the majestic shape of a tricolor “temple”, a sinuous ribbon that crosses the characters of Monza and the number 100. We wanted to give a graphic interpretation to the circuit, making the track a three-dimensional icon. The green track, its red exterior together with the white of its interior create the feeling of the tricolor”Comments Ludovico Fois , councilor for external relations and communications manager of ACI, the Automobile Club of Italy.
