General Del Sette and Mr. Tombolato met with local authorities: Patrizia Palmisani (Prefect Province of Monza and Brianza), Luca Santambrogio (President Province of Monza and Brianza), Paolo Pilotto (Mayor of Monza), Pier Attilio Superti (Deputy of the Secretary General of the Lombardy Region Presidency), Marco Ciceri (President of Lambro Valley Regional Park), Enrico Boerci (President BrianzAcque) and Bartolomeo Corsini (General Manager Consortium Villa Reale and Monza Park). Topic: the agenda of works to be carried out by the first half of 2026.
After lunch, the ACI Extraordinary Commissioner visited the facilities of the track: from the press room to race control. Photos were then taken at the podium with the Founding Members’ Club Heritage Cup, which ACI and Autodromo Nazionale Monza received last December at the FIA Awards 2024, in Kigali, Rwanda. A prestigious award, reserved for the FIA’s founding clubs, which is given each year to a major figure in motorsport or automotive, a museum or a circuit.
General Del Sette then made a lap of the track, passed through the Serraglio area, whose buildings will be affected by a major renovation. Then from there the ACI delegation reached the High Speed Ring.
Before departing, the Commissioner greeted the staff of Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
